Day-Wise Itinerary

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Kathmandu. Take time to relax, recover from your journey, and prepare for the trek ahead. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
After breakfast, begin a long but scenic drive from Kathmandu to Machha Khola via Arughat and Soti Khola. The journey passes through hills, rivers, rice fields, and traditional villages, following the Trishuli and Budhi Gandaki rivers. As the landscape becomes warmer and more rural, you’ll experience authentic village life along the way. Machha Khola, located in the Gorkha district of mid-western Nepal, serves as the gateway to the Manaslu region. Overnight stay at a local guesthouse with beautiful valley views.
Begin your trek by following the Budhi Gandaki River upstream, passing through Khorla Beshi, a small farming village. The trail winds pleasantly through lush landscapes to reach Tatopani, a natural hot spring where you may enjoy a relaxing soak if time permits. After a short rest, continue along the river toward Yaruphant before reaching Jagat. Crossing a short suspension bridge, you arrive at this moderately sized village with shops and local facilities. Jagat marks the entry point to the Manaslu Conservation Area. Overnight stay in Jagat.
Leaving Jagat, the trail ascends gradually through several small farming villages, including the lively Sidibas Bazaar. After a short rest, descend to cross a suspension bridge and reach Nagjet, followed by a steady climb to Philim, a large village with scattered farmhouses. From Philim, the route continues through terraced fields of wheat and barley before ascending a rocky ridge into dense bamboo forests. The day’s trek concludes at Dyang village, a quiet settlement surrounded by natural beauty. Overnight stay in Dyang.
Today’s trek leads through beautiful forests and alongside numerous Tibetan mani walls intricately carved with Buddhist scriptures. The trail winds through narrow canyons and gradually ascends into open valleys. As you gain altitude, the landscape transforms into colorful forests of fir, oak, and rhododendron. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings and cultural atmosphere before arriving at the charming settlement of Namrung. Overnight stay in Namrung.
After a pleasant stay in Namrung, begin your gradual ascent toward Shyala. The trail offers a thrilling walk closer to the mountains, passing through villages such as Lho, known for its rich local culture and historic Buddhist monasteries. In Lho, explore traditional houses, the impressive Ribung Monastery, Buddhist chortens, and enjoy views of Mount Manaslu and surrounding peaks. Continuing onward, you reach Shyala, a stunning village encircled by the majestic Manaslu Himalaya. From here, witness breathtaking close-up views of Mount Manaslu and the dramatic Himalayan landscape. Overnight stay in Shyala.
After breakfast, set out to visit the sacred Pungyen Monastery, a place of spiritual serenity and cultural significance in the Manaslu region. This holy site offers insight into the deep-rooted traditions of Tibetan Buddhism and the local way of life. After spending time at the monastery, continue your trek toward Samagaun, walking through beautiful landscapes of pine and juniper forests with sparkling mountain views. Upon arrival, explore the charming village of Samagaun, set against the backdrop of majestic peaks. Overnight stay in Samagaun.
Today is reserved for acclimatization to help your body adjust before heading toward higher elevations and the Larkya La Pass. After breakfast, begin a day hike to Manaslu Base Camp, the base of the world’s eighth-highest peak. The hike takes you past Birendra Lake and offers spectacular mountain scenery throughout. Reaching the base camp at 4,800 meters is a rewarding and meaningful highlight of the trek, showcasing the natural and cultural beauty of the Manaslu region. The trail is more challenging than the hike to Pungyen Monastery, so come prepared with packed lunch, sufficient water, and essential trekking gear. Return to Samagaun for an overnight stay.
Today is a relatively short trek to Dharmasala, also known as Larkya La Phedi, the base of the Larkya La Pass. After leaving Samagaun, the trail passes through Samdo village before crossing an icy stream and entering a drier, more barren landscape. While the terrain is not very difficult, the rapid gain in altitude requires a steady pace. After a few hours of gradual ascent and descent, arrive at Dharmasala. The afternoon is free for rest or a short acclimatization walk. It is recommended to hike a little higher to aid altitude adjustment. Overnight stay in Dharmasala.
Begin early in the morning for a challenging and rewarding ascent to Larkya La Pass, the highest point of the Manaslu Trek at 5,106 meters. The climb offers breathtaking views of Mount Manaslu, Larkya Peak, Bouddha Himal, Himalchuli, and Peak 29, along with sweeping valleys below. Upon reaching the prayer-flag-adorned pass, take time to enjoy the spectacular panorama. Afterward, begin a long and steep descent toward Bhimthang. The trail can be slippery, so trekking poles and crampons are highly recommended. Arrive at Bhimthang village, set in a magnificent alpine valley. Overnight stay in Bhimthang.
Begin your descent from Bhimthang toward Gho, passing through stunning alpine valleys and scenic landscapes. The trail winds through forests, terraced fields, and small villages, offering panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks, including Manaslu, Annapurna, Langtang, and Ganesh Himal. Enjoy the serene atmosphere and observe local culture along the way. The trek gradually descends, making it easier on the legs while still providing spectacular scenery. Arrive in Gho, a peaceful village where you can relax and soak in the natural beauty of the region. Overnight stay in Gho.
On the final day of trekking, begin your descent from Gho toward Dharapani or Besishahar Bazar. The trail gently descends through lush fields, pastures, and charming villages. Stop at Tilje, a large Gurung settlement known for its local brandy, and continue past several mani walls before reaching Thonje village. The trek concludes as you arrive at Dharapani, where you can rest and celebrate the completion of the Manaslu Circuit Trek. Overnight stay in Dharapani or Besishahar Bazar.

After an early breakfast, depart Dharapani by local bus toward Besisahar, a scenic 6–7 hour journey. Along the way, enjoy views of the Marsyangdi River, terraced farmlands, and traditional villages such as Bhulbhule and Khudi. Upon reaching Besisahar around mid-afternoon, transfer to a bus or vehicle for the drive back to Kathmandu along the Prithvi Highway. On the way, marvel at the convergence of the Marsyangdi and Trishuli rivers, rugged hills, and distant Himalayan peaks. Arrive in Kathmandu in the evening and check into your hotel. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Today marks the end of your unforgettable Manaslu Trek adventure. Depending on your flight schedule, you will be transferred from your hotel to Tribhuvan International Airport by our staff. Reflect on the breathtaking landscapes, rich culture, and memorable experiences you encountered throughout the journey.
