Day-Wise Itinerary

Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport and receive a warm welcome before being transferred to your hotel in Kathmandu. Take time to rest and recover from your journey. In the evening, attend a detailed briefing where your guide will explain the pilgrimage route, travel plans, and essential preparations. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
After breakfast, visit the sacred Pashupatinath Temple, one of the holiest shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva. Experience the spiritual atmosphere and observe traditional rituals along the Bagmati River. Participate in a special Puja ceremony to seek blessings for your pilgrimage journey. Return to the hotel for rest and preparation. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
After breakfast, visit the historic Narayanhiti Palace Museum, the former royal residence of Nepal’s kings, and explore its rich history and architecture. Continue to Swayambhunath Stupa, also known as the Monkey Temple, offering panoramic views of Kathmandu Valley. In the afternoon, return to the hotel for final trip preparations, including gear checks, packing essentials, and a briefing with your guide. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
After breakfast, begin a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Timure via Syabrubesi, passing through winding mountain roads, lush forests, and charming villages. Timure, situated at 1,800 meters, serves as the gateway to the Nepal–China border and the starting point for the overland journey toward Mount Kailash. Upon arrival, check into your lodge and rest. Overnight stay in Timure.
After completing immigration and customs formalities at the Nepal–China (Tibet) border, cross into Tibet and continue with a scenic drive of approximately 50 kilometers to Kyirug Village. Situated at 2,800 meters, the route offers breathtaking Himalayan views and glimpses of traditional Tibetan culture. Upon arrival, check into your guesthouse and take time to rest and acclimatize. Overnight stay in Kyirug Village.
After breakfast, begin a long yet scenic drive from Kyirug Village to Saga, situated at 4,400 meters. Travel across the vast Tibetan Plateau, passing through wide valleys and high mountain passes with panoramic views of snow-capped peaks and rugged landscapes. Upon arrival in Saga, check into your lodge and rest to acclimatize to the high altitude. Overnight stay in Saga.
After breakfast, continue with a scenic drive from Saga to Darchen, the gateway town to Mount Kailash. The route crosses high-altitude landscapes of the Tibetan Plateau, offering expansive views of distant snow-capped peaks and wide valleys. Upon arrival, check into your lodge and rest while preparing for the upcoming Kailash pilgrimage. Overnight stay in Darchen.
Start the day with a sacred Puja ceremony at the revered Lake Mansarovar, offering prayers and seeking blessings in its serene spiritual setting. Spend some quiet time by the lake to absorb the tranquility before continuing your journey. In the afternoon, drive to Darchen at an altitude of 4,664 meters. Upon arrival, check into your lodge and prepare for the upcoming Kailash Kora (circumambulation). Overnight stay in Darchen.
Today begins the sacred Kailash Parikrama (Kora), the revered 52 km circumambulation of Mount Kailash. Starting early from Darchen, the trek leads through traditional Tibetan settlements adorned with prayer flags and serene high-altitude landscapes. Gentle ascents and descents along the trail offer inspiring views of the holy mountain. Overnight stay in a guesthouse or camp along the route.
Today, trek the north side of Mount Kailash, known as the Inner Kora, a highly sacred section of the pilgrimage. Encounter rugged terrain, dramatic cliffs, glaciers, and unique rock formations while experiencing profound spiritual significance. The challenging path rewards trekkers with breathtaking scenery and a deep sense of devotion. Overnight stay at a campsite or guesthouse along the route.
Today’s trek leads over Dolma La Pass, the highest point of the Kailash Parikrama at 5,630 meters. The route passes Zutulpuk, a sacred cave where pilgrims stop to pray. The climb is steep and may include snow-covered sections, but the summit offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks. After descending from the pass, overnight stay at a nearby campsite or guesthouse.
After crossing Dolma La Pass and reaching Zutulpuk, begin the descent back toward Darchen, retracing part of the pilgrimage route. Upon arrival, transfer by vehicle to Saga at 4,600 meters, marking the completion of the sacred Kailash Parikrama. Spend the evening resting and reflecting on your spiritual journey. After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive from Saga back toward Nepal. Cross the border at Kyirong and continue through the Himalayan foothills and rural landscapes to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and relax after the long journey. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
This day serves as a buffer for any unforeseen delays during the pilgrimage or travel. Use the time to rest, explore Kathmandu at your own pace, or enjoy last-minute shopping and sightseeing. Your guide will be available to assist with arrangements or additional activities. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
After breakfast, transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward flight. Our team will assist with check-out and bid you farewell, wishing you safe travels and lasting memories of your spiritual journey to Mount Kailash and Lake Mansarovar.
